Passed away peacefully on Friday July 19, 2024 just two months to the day shy of her 99th birthday. Devoted wife of the late Angelo. Proud mother of Loretta (late Michael) and Gary. Cherished Nonna of Jessica (Salvatore), Jason (Tanya) and Ben. Loving Bisnonna of Luca, Julian, SofiaMaria and Michael. She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends here and abroad. Palmira has been reunited with the love of her life Angelo who predeceased her on November 16th, 1979.

Palmira will be remembered for her attention to detail. Her home was impeccably clean and organized. Her home décor was that of an interior designer. Her gardens received the same amount of care and attention.

Palmira would never leave the house without being dressed to the nines and looking beyond presentable.

She was a woman with determination and independent. After losing her beloved Angelo when she was only 55 and went onto get her driving license and drove until she was 90. She lived in her home until she made the decision to move into a retirement apartment also at 90.

 “Forever loved, always remembered.”

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Beechwood Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
