It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our father Ottavio Donato who passed away on June 27, 2022, at 78 years. Ottavio was born on April 23, 1944, to Maria & Bruno of Italy. Beloved father of Bruno, Jack (Paola) & Maria. Proud grandfather of Alexa & Sabrina. He will be lovingly remembered by his family in Canada, Italy & Australia. Ottavio was an avid outdoorsman and was happiest when he was out hunting and fishing. He loved to constantly expand his mind with fun facts and information from the Almanac, and would strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere, anytime. He loved making wine and dried salami and was always proud of his vegetable garden and fruit trees. His kindness spilled onto all that he did. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Highway 7, Woodbridge on Friday, July 1, 2022, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. & 6:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral service in the Ward Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. Entombment to follow at Glendale Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Ottavio will be desperately missed by all those that he’s left behind. Our hearts are broken by this loss. He was one of a kind and to be loved by him was to be truly blessed.
