Olga (Antoniolli) Prato, died peacefully on Saturday October 19, 2013 surrounded by her loving family in her 96th year. She was born in Ospedaletto Valsugana, Italy, to parents; Leo and Perina and moved to Canada with her family when she was 13. Beloved wife of the late Filippo (Phillip) Prato. Mother to Frank Prato and Linda Leschaloupe. Sister to Gioconda (Gickie), and Leah. Predeceased by Sister Ann, Brother Quirino and cousin Dina Borz. Nonna (Grandmother) to Tricia and Maurita, and Bisnonna (great grandmother) to Margaret-Josephine (M.J.), Elizabeth (Lilly), and Jude. Visitation will be held Tuesday, 6-9pm at Ward Funeral Homes, 52 Main Street South, Brampton, On. Funeral Ceremony Wednesday, 11:00 at Ward Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill Ontario. Olga was generous and loving, a gracious host, opening her home and cooking delicious Italian food for large groups of friends and family. She enjoyed traveling, dancing, knitting, and telling stories. She was strong, independent and loyal. Her love of children, her easy laughter, and smile will not be forgotten.
