Olga Medeiros

In loving Memory of Olga Medeiros

September 19, 1940 - July 26, 2024

Olga Medeiros, the 2nd eldest of five children, was born in the town of Povoacao, Sao Miguel, Acores, to her parents Pedro Sousa and Maria dos Anjos and she immigrated to Ontario Canada in the early 1970's.
She was a dedicated school teacher, wife, mother, grandmother and a loving sister and aunt. She loved to bake, crochet and knit and she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was also very fond of her nieces and nephews.

Olga passed away peacefully in Brampton at 83 years of age on Friday July 26, 2024, after a long battle with Alzheimer's/ Dementia. Olga was a loving, strong, funny, confident woman whose deep faith in God helped her deal with all of life's trials and sufferings.

We want to thank her many friends for showing their love and support for Olga over the years by their visits, lunches together, baking days and trips with the Carmelite sisters, which Olga loved. We also want to thank the staff at Maple Grove Care Community (Brampton), for 17 years of caring for Olga with kindness, compassion and respect.

Olga will be dearly missed by her sister Odete (Manuel), her brother Tony (Edmea) and all of her family and yet, we are grateful that her suffering has ended, and she is now at peace in the House of the Lord.
