Obdulia Narvaez de Estrada (Yuya)
Yuya died peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the early hours on Monday, May 11, 2015 at the age of ninety four. She was predeceased by her husband Pablo Cesar Estrada. Mother to Martha Quenneville (Richard), Pablo (Landa) and Cesar (Kriskaya), grandmother to Pablo Antoine, Andreina, Pablo Clemente, Paola, Poliana, Jorge Armando, Martha Emilia, Desire, Jenire, Francisco Arturo, Cesar Alejandro and great granddaughter Rebecca.
Yuya was a deeply loving sister, mother, grandmother, and high school teacher and guidance counselor and helped shape the minds of Venezuelan youth. She was a kind and gentle soul, fierce champion of her family, a very giving and caring women who cared for her husband, mother-in-law and older sisters before leaving tropical Venezuela for Canada as her new home. She experienced Canadian winters for the first time, picking apples in the fall, watching trees bud in spring, and the beautiful fall colours. She was a very happy person with a good sense of humour. She attracted people to her and enjoyed keeping in touch with her friends in Venezuela or entertaining new friends in her home. She will be dearly missed by her family.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Marguerite d'Youville Catholic Church, 2490 Sandalwood Parkway East, Brampton on Saturday May 16 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family are invited to attend and view or post comments, stories and photos in the Book of Memories at www.wardfuneralhome.com
