Norma Marion Benson

BENSON, Norma Marion (nee Hamilton) - March 27, 1926 - March 7, 2010 Peacefully and surrounded by family, at Burloak Long Term Care Centre, Burlington in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Benson of 58 years. Loving mother to Bill Jr. (Carol), Dan (Robin) and Randy (Janis). Proud and loving grandmother to Kelly, Matt, Jacqui, Ashley, Andrew, Jen, Lauren and Kenny. Norma will be lovingly remembered by the extended Benson family and her many friends. In spite of Norma's affliction with Alzheimer's she never lost the ability to endear herself to others with her warm and friendly personality. A special thanks to the staff and caregivers at Burloak LTC for their compassionate and dedicated care. Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 'OAKVILLE CHAPEL', 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 12, 2010 in the chapel at 10 a.m. to be immediately followed by a reception at Ward Funeral Home. Interment 1:30 p.m. at Glendale Memorial Gardens (Albion Road at Highway 27, Toronto). As expressions of sympathy, donations to Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
