Nora Marnie

MARNIE, Nora Margaret (nee Drewett) - Peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at the Versa Care Long Term Care Facility in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Wilfred Humphrey Marnie, her dear parents Annie S. (Flanagan) Drewett and Vincent S. Drewett and her sister Lillian (Drewett) Garratt. Nora will be sadly missed by her loving daughter Margaret Ann Lecky, her cousins Robert and Gordon Flanagan, her nieces Lynn Marnie of Barrie, Ivy Fenton of Alliston, Joan Garratt of Etobicoke and her nephew Alan Marnie (and his wife Sylvia) of Florida. Nora was a longtime resident of Thistletown and a founding member of the Franklin Carmichael Art Group. She will be fondly remembered by her family and close friends. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (north of Lawrence Ave.), Weston on Saturday, August 15 from 10 - 11 a.m. A memorial service celebrating Nora's life will follow in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Franklin Carmichael Art Group (34 Riverdale Dr., Etobicoke, M9V 2T3) or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
