Marino, Nicola (Nick)
July 17, 1958 – October 14, 2022
Nick (as he was affectionately known) passed away peacefully in the arms of his children on October 14th, 2022 in his 64th year. Nick Marino had passion and enthusiasm for many things; cars, music, business, investments & the Miami Dolphins. Surrounded by his children and late wife Rose was his favorite place to be. He enjoyed sitting around with family and friends and imparting his wisdom or strong opinion on any matter he was passionate about. Many lessons were learned when you had the opportunity to sit with Nick, his best advice came when he was sitting in the sunshine with a cigar. Nick battled many health complications over the decades and always did so with strength, grace and will. His ability to overcome these obstacles was an inspiration to all who knew him.
Nick is predeceased by the love of his life Rose (Italia), his parents Antonio & Antonia Marino and his in- laws Rosina & Pasquale Cipollone.
Nick will be forever missed and always remembered by his devoted children, Anthony (Sarah Smyth) and Mackenzie (Justin Fulford), his sisters Franca (Bruno Garbati), Silvia (Danny Del Rosso), sister-in-law Claudia (Luigi Trivisonno), brother-in- law Tony Cipollone (Madeline) and extended family as well as the many friends Nick had throughout his life especially Mike Cimicata and Parm Giorgio.
The family would like to thank the staff at Amica Little Lake for their care as well as the medical teams at Sunnybrook Hospital & Royal Victoria Regional in Barrie who provided Nick the care and dignity he needed to tackle his health challenges.
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge) on Wednesday October 19th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Clare of Assisi Parish, 150 St. Francis Ave., Woodbridge on Thursday October 20th at 9:30 a.m. A private family interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family.
