Neil Anthony Cooper
October 06, 1964 - October 20, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Neil Anthony Cooper.
Neil was the caring son of Thelma and Alistair who passed along their love of their Scottish heritage to him. He married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn (Sidon), and was the loving and encouraging father to Jeanette and Christopher. He was very proud of their many accomplishments. Neil loved to travel with his family and helped to document their adventures and achievements in the annual family newsletter.

Neil was very fortunate in his life to have many long friendships which he cherished. He will be remembered as a devoted friend who could always be counted on for encouragement, support, advice and a laugh. He had a witty sense of humour that was sure to make you smile.

Throughout his career, first as a structural engineer, and later as an owner in the construction company Cooper Gordon Ltd., Neil strove to be the best he could be and was an inspiration to others. He was a trusted advisor to the professionals around him, and was admired for his sound and practical advice.

We would like to thank everyone for their support throughout the last two years. A special thank you to Drs. Hedley and Rothstein and the staff of 17B at Princess Margaret Hospital for their care and dedication, and for helping make a difficult journey a little less so.

We will be holding a celebration of life on Saturday November 9th at the Weston Golf and Country Club (50 St Phillips Rd, Etobicoke) from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m, speeches will be held at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to either The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation directed to the Marie Thompson Fund for Biliary Cancer Research or The Salvation Army would be appreciated.
