Nancy Louise Coste
August 16th, 1933 - March 31st, 2023

It is with deep sadness that the family of Nancy Coste (nee Rankin) announces her passing on March 31, 2023 months shy of her 90th birthday. Nancy is predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, David. Cherished by her children Lynda (Tom) and Stephen. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Scott and Jeffrey, her brother Bob (Liz) and many nieces and nephews. Nancy will be fondly remembered by her long time friends Dorothy, Carol (Jack), Mary (Jim) and her caregiver Sue.

Mom loved to give back to her community. She spent over 40 years volunteering at Peel Memorial Hospital and several years volunteering with the Nortel Golden Legends. She was an avid reader, loved animals (especially Muffin, Tai and Sam) but her passion was swimming and being near water. Born in Chatham, Mom spent her summers at Erieau, where her love for swimming started. As a teenager she taught swimming lessons at the Erieau Yacht Club, when not teaching she loved to be on the lake sailing. Mom and Dad spent many years travelling to their favourite getaways in Vermont and New Hampshire, eventually travelling Europe after Dad retired. Mom loved to play cards often entertaining their friends for a game of bridge or an enjoying an afternoon of euchre with the ladies.

Family and friends are invited to Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main Street South, Brampton, for a time of Visitation from 10:00am - 11:00am, with the Funeral Service to take place in the Chapel at 11:00am. The family would like to invite extended family and friends for a time of fellowship and gathering following the Service at the Brampton Legion Branch 15, 80 Mary Street, Brampton. A private Interment Service will take place.
