Mrs. Nanci Duffy (nee Varga), aka. Mrs. D, of Weston Ontario, passed away on Thursday January 5th 2017, at the age of 75.
Nanci was born to parents Stefan Varga and Veronica Tircho on October 2nd 1941 in La Broquerie, Manitoba. She grew up in West Lorne Ontario as one of four children and attended West Elgin Secondary School. In 1967, she married her one and only Love, Leonard Duffy of Toronto who would have celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary this July 29th.
Nanci & Len had three children, Timothy, Terence & David, and devoted the next 10 years to maintaining their home on Kingdom Street and raising their three boys. She then returned to work joining Kingsway Transport and then Canadian Benefits Consulting before she retired in 2007.
Nanci is survived by her husband Leonard, sons David (Weston), Terry (Etobicoke) and Tim (Everett) and her two grandchildren; Dylan and William. She is preceded in death by her sisters Margret Lomage, Helen McLellan and brother Steve Varga.
Visitation will be available to family and friends at Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road, Weston Ontario on Monday January 9th between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will take place at Ward Funeral Home on Tuesday January 10th at 11:00 a.m. The family would then like to invite all to stay and attend a reception lunch at 12:00 p.m.at the Ward facilities.
