Myrna Swyers

Myrna Swyers was born on May 15, 1925 in Toronto and passed away peacefully, after a brief battle with cancer on April 28, 2018 at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in her 93rd year. She is survived by her husband Sam (Gus) Swyers, children Lynda (John), Norm, Wendy (Geoff) and step children Bob (Louise), Steve (Darlene), Rick (Laura), Dave, Ed (Rosanna) and Karen (Rick). Myrna enjoyed her grandchildren Jason, Stewart, Robbie, Pam, Christine, Sean, Daniel, Jonathan, Greg, Mike, Shelley, Sammy, Sky and great grandchildren Daniel, Hunter, Skylar, Chloe, Ian, Taylor, Ella, Olivia, Bobby, Hailey, Allie and Tessa. Myrna enjoyed having BBQ’s and pool parties with family and friends. She lived in her house for 70 years before moving to Cambridge, living at Heritage Meadows for the last year of her life to be near her daughters and sons.
As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers the family has kindly asked for donations to be made at The Salvation Army Church (1100 Weston Road,York, ON M6N 3S4) in Myrna's honour, Thank you.
