For the “old man”,
Wednesday, January 5, 2022, the Thurston family lost Murray Kenneth, our dad, grandpa, great grandpa, brother & friend. Dad would have been 78 on February 18th. He passed that evening around 7:30 in the presence of his children Tammy and Doug. Murray’s grandchildren (Kyle, Natasha & Sarah), along with daughter-in-law Kelly and son-in-law Tony were able to meet with him virtually before he left. From very humble beginnings he lived a colourful life. Born in Toronto, and raised in Bobcaygeon with his younger siblings Sharon, Arlene, Rodger, Karen, Patsy, Randy and Wanda.
In 1967, he married his first wife Jayne, the mother of his two children, Doug and Tammy, and moved to Brampton.
In 1985, he married his soulmate Marlene and lived a fairy tale romance. During this time he mentored his stepchildren Jess and Jason. They also loved and spoiled their grandchildren: Kyle, Victoria, Natasha, Josh, Jordan, Sarah, and Kailey. Sadly, Marlene passed away in 2003.
Over the remaining years of his life, Dad struggled with increased mental and physical issues. Although he had a challenging life it was still full of great joy, accomplishment, and love. The stories of his life will be shared with his great grandchildren Duncan and Brennan.
The trials and successes of his life inspired us to excel in ours.
You're forever in our hearts.

Please be aware this is not a professionally edited video and is happening in real time. You may experience network (internet) failures and/or local signal issues.
