Passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 8th, 2015 at the age of 88 at Brampton Civic Hospital.
Leaves behind Maria, loving wife of 61 years, daughters Marion (Peter) Horner, Jenny (Douglas) Wood, son Edward (Carolyn) and grandchildren Erik, Simon, Mark, Katie, Sandra, Shannon, Julia and Kevin.
Dear brother of Emilija and brother-in-law of the late Louis Galic and uncle to Sylvia (Peter) Cover.
Relatives in Slovenia include brother Edvard (Marija), nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Jože and sisters Matilda and Marijana. He was an inventor and designer with a keen imagination. He loved fixing and tinkering in his workshop, and lovingly cared for his grape vines, flower and vegetable gardens. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main Street South, Brampton, on Friday, December 11th from 2 - 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 66A Main Street South, Brampton, on Saturday, December 12th at 11:30 am. Interment at Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, The Heart & Stroke Foundation or The Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
