It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Milan Milanovich, on Sunday December 1, 2013. After a brief and courageous battle with stomach cancer, Milan passed away peacefully at Etobicoke General Hospital. Milan was born on August 6, 1929 in Serbia. He is survived by his loving wife Milena, his son Zika and daughter in law Janice. He will be sadly missed by his wife, son, loving daughter in law as well as his three grandchildren, Jesse, Natasha, Tiana, surviving brother Mileta and many nephews and nieces in Serbia as well as in Toronto. Milan’s unbelievable strength and courage throughout his life will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. His hard work and resilience is something that his grandchildren will never forget and aspire to carry on for his presence in their lives was a great and influential one.
The family would like to thank Dr. Vincent Maida, nurses, and staff at Etobicoke General Hospital for their care and support. Visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home 4671 Highway #7 Woodbridge(between Pine Valley and Islington) on Tuesday December 3 at 6:00pm-9:00pm. Mass of Orthodox Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Serbian Church 2520 Dixie Rd, Mississauga (Dixie and Dundas) on December 4th at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Serbian Orthodox Cemetery at 7470 McNiven Rd. Milton, Ont. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the: William Osler Health System Foundation.
