Michela Chiaino

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Michela Chiaino while surrounded by her family on Friday, March 1, 2019 at the age of 79. Now reunited with her late husband Gerardo Chiaino (2012), she was the beloved mother of Franca and Louie (Patricia). Cherished grandmother to Sante (Vanessa), Oriana (Danny), Gerrett and Andrew and doting great-grandmother to Leia. Michela was a hard working and devoted wife and mother. She was a truly gregarious soul; happiest when she was surrounded by family and friends. She loved to entertain and welcomed people from all walks of life into her home. The many flowers that adorned her home represented her love for the beautiful and joyous things in life. She had a passion for music including her love for classic Neapolitan as well as her favorite songs from Tom Jones and Engelbert Humperdinck. She was beloved by many and will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by family and friends. Visitation will take place at Ward Funeral Home (4671 Highway7, Woodbridge) on Saturday from 5-8 pm and Sunday from 2-4 & 6-9 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Padre Pio Church (5500 Major MacKenzie Drive W, Kleinburg) on Monday, March 4, 2019 at 9:00 am. Entombment to follow at Prospect Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or in lieu donations to Hospice Vaughan would be appreciated.
