Michael Reis

It is with great sadness that the family of Michael Reis announce his passing on February 24, 2024 in Shelburne at the young age of 44. Our sweet son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend returned home to his heavenly family after suffering from numerous ongoing medical issues and then succumbing to a heart attack. Michael died at home in the company of his mother and father. Michael leaves behind his loving family; his parents Berta and Albert Reis, his sister Patricia, his niece and nephew Lilya and Leandro, his grandmother Coltilde; as well as his uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Michael was passionate about many things but primarily his main love was his family. He loved to cater and cook and always wanted to ensure that bellies were full and satisfied. He took so much pleasure in seeing our smiles after serving us his delicious meals and creations. Michael was the type of person who would give his shoes to a homeless person and then walk home barefooted. Michael was one of a kind, he was such an amazing human being with a heart of gold. He was a blessing to all who knew him. He will be so deeply missed by his family, rest in peace Michael we love you.
