On behalf of family and loved ones, we sadly announce the passing of Michael Enrico Dilena. Through careful deliberation, we have chosen to share some of Michael’s own words to honour his beautiful life and to represent him as a man of wisdom, love and grace. After reading this brief passage, we will surely be left with a warm feeling and a deep appreciation for who he is to us and this world he has now left. Thank you Michael, may you live forever in our hearts and through your very powerful words.
Who you are in this world can really allow you to grow consistently and learn new things, be it good or bad. Then, that allows you to reflect on all you’ve become and hopefully reinvent yourself over the course of the next years in a more positive way. One thing I've never wanted for myself or anyone that I love and cherish is that they remain complacent and the same person they were from a teenager up until the point where there a full-grown adult. I believe that everyone has the capability to grow exponentially and achieve what others think is the impossible. But it's just about remembering that you as a person are not a single image that lasts forever, you're someone that can transform and repaint the canvas of who you are into anyone you want to be with mindfulness practice and positivity.
And if you don't think this is possible, and you know me on even a very lightly personal level, go ahead and ask people who knew me when I was a teenager who I was versus who I am now and they'll tell you that I'm not even the same person.
You are a canvas in this world. You paint your portrait from the day you’re born until the day you die. Don’t ever be afraid to completely paint over your portrait and be completely different from the painting you’ve shown the world up until that point. That’s the beauty of life, that's your freedom. - MD
