Cassidy, Michael Joseph

Suddenly, but peacefully at home on May 12, 2011, at the age of 53, beloved son of James and Alice Cassidy, dear brother to Marie and Jim (Janet), special uncle to Matthew, Brendan, and Rachael, and dear friend of Kathy Worth and her daughter Jessie. Mike was a long time employee of the Royal Bank. He spent many years coaching hockey in Brampton, Toronto, and Mississauga, and loved to spend as much time as possible at the cottage, boating and fishing near Bala on Lake Muskoka.

Family and friends will be received at Ward Funeral Home, 52 Main St. S, (Hwy 10) on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 66A Main St. S. (Brampton) Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to Crohns and Colitis Association or the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
