The family of Michael Alan Bell announces with great sadness that on April 27th, 2022, at the age of 60 and after a courageous battle with cancer, Mike passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
Mike leaves behind his devoted wife, Marcela, his beloved children, Michael (Lindsay) and Melissa, and the mother of his children, Karen.
Mike was the second youngest child born to the late Robert and Shirley (Cooke) Bell. He is survived by his loving siblings: Phyllis (Rick), Heather (Ibrahim), Bob (Liz), Bill (Bonnie), John (Tracey), Brenda (Peter), and Kevin (Audrey). He was an uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Mike completed 35 years of service with CN Rail before retiring at the age of 55. He spent the majority of his career on the night shift, which allowed him to focus on his kids during the day.
Mike fought hard and stayed strong to the very end. Although he has left a huge sense of emptiness without his presence, he will always be in our hearts. Mike’s unique personality has impacted many lives to this day. He was known for his humour, quick wit, and sarcasm, all of which never wavered.
The family would like to extend an abundance of gratitude to the staff at both St. Joseph’s Health Centre and Princess Margaret Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion.
A visitation to honour Mike's life and his memory will take place at Ward Funeral Home, with a funeral to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to Princess Margaret Hospital in Mike's memory.
