Melanie, 55, of Toronto, Ontario, died March 18, 2019 at her home in Toronto. Born August 26, 1963 in Parry Sound, Ontario, Melanie was the daughter of Cecil and Margaret McMurdo (nee Stewart).
Melanie will be remembered for her quirky sense of humour, tenacity, deep sixth sense and an immense pride in her children.
She is survived by her three children: Shawna (Chris) Downey, Andrew and Ashley (Craig); four grandchildren: Cheyenne, Shelby, John and Abby; three siblings: Muriel (John), Kevin (Cheryl) and Jamie; and nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 11 am at St. Jude’s Catholic Church on Weston Road, Toronto.
