On August 18, 2017, we said goodbye to our beloved husband and father, Mel Morassutti. He passed peacefully surrounded by his wife, Norma, and children, Bill (Mary Morassutti), Janet (Dave Bidini) and Melanie (Dwayne Gale). He will be missed by his dear sister, Vivian Manzon, and brothers-in-law, Bernie and Larry (Huguette) Torresin. He was a loving grandfather to Cecilia, Lorenzo, Sophia, Michael, Thomson and Nico. Proud of his Friulan heritage, Mel was a retired lawyer and avid golfer, guitar-picker, reader and cottager and leaves behind a close-knit circle of family and friends. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.), Weston, on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Church, 1415 Royal York Road on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Cremation to follow.
