Maurice Andre Porlier
May 1, 1944 – June 12, 2018

Maurice (Moe) was born and raised in Bigwood Ontario. He married Rose on October 12, 1968 and moved to Weston where they raised Nicole, born in 1973 and Marc, born in 1974. He retired from his job with the courts in 2013 to help Rose look after his beloved grandchildren, Hudson, Wes and Anderson. Moe enjoyed baseball, biking, tennis, puzzles, travelling and spending time with family and friends.

Moe peacefully passed away, surrounded by family and friends, on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at Baycrest Hospital at the age of 74. He will be sorely missed by his loving wife Rose Mary Porlier (nee Mifsud). Beloved father of Marc Porlier and Nicole Bennett (Jason). Cherished brother of Rolande Prevost (late Emilien), Cecile Landry (late Etienne), Aline Nadeau (Rheal) and Noel Porlier (Helene). He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren Hudson, Wes and Anderson. He will also be missed by his brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws Cathy Hamelin (Dale), Joe Mifsud (Irene), Charlie Mifsud (Tina), Sam Mifsud (Selena) and his many nieces, nephews and friends. Maurice was predeceased by his parents Rene Porlier (of Montreal) and Rose Porlier (nee Dionne of Noelville), his brothers Leo (Claire), Robert and Jean-Marie.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9.

A Celebration of Maurice’s life will be held at in the chapel on Saturday at 10 am. Cremation has taken place.
