Peacefully, with her family by her side on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at the Brampton Civic Hospital. Predeceased by her husband of 46 years Donald McGilchrist and her son James McGilchrist (Gail). Maureen
is survived by her daughter Sue (Barry), grandchildren Christopher Burfield and Catherine (Brennon) Thompson and Shawn (Heather) and Ryan (Sara) McGilchrist. She will be deeply missed by her many relatives and friends. A lover of all animals but especially her cats and "Granddog" Shaggy. Long time member of the Flower City Seniors Centre and volunteer at Humber River Hospital. Maureen enjoyed making ceramics
and a good jigsaw puzzle. Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home "Brampton" Chapel on Monday, November 21st from 11:00 a.m. -1:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service commencing at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel. Cremation has already taken place. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Maureen's Memory and in lieu of flowers.
