In Loving Memory of Matthew Moses John

March 9, 1953 – January 10, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Matthew Moses John, who left this world peacefully on January 10, 2025, at the age of 71 after battling cancer.

Born on March 9, 1953, Matthew lived a life full of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to his family, friends, and faith. He was a devoted father, loving grandfather, caring uncle, and loyal friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Matthew will be remembered for his warm heart, generous spirit, and ability to bring people together with his infectious smile and gentle presence. He had a deep passion for music, fishing, dancing (his famous Mexican dance) and the Apache wild Indian mass famously known on the island of his birth Grenada.

He will be remembered by his beloved children, the late Francis “coke” Molah, Agnes Chitan, Roxanne Molah, Rockel Rennie, Nasha Molah, Kelon Rennie, Johanna Rennie, Marvin Molah, Daniel Rennie & Brittany Rennie. His cherished grandchildren Lonney Mckie, Kyawana Carimbocas, Reanne Chitan, Kevin Jeremiah, Kevil Geroge Jr, Sarah Jeremiah, Azari Mckie, Jesson Church Jr, Ameerah Emmerson, Jordan Jeremiah, Josiah Rennie Campbell, Ocean Rennie, Destiny Mckie, Darian Rennie Figueiredo, Kkahalie Molah, Darius Rennie, Kamari Molah, Cherish Jeremiah. Great- Grandchildren Kaiah & Kyrie Willis. Ex-wife Alice Rennie.

Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those he touched. Our family is at peace knowing he has joined his predeceased loved ones, whom he fondly enjoyed talking about until the end.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the medical team at St Joseph’s Health Center.

A celebration of Matthew’s life will be held on Saturday, January 25th, at 3 o'clock in the Ward Funeral Homes Weston Chapel. A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Rest in peace, Matthew. You will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
