It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Matt Jaroszynski on January 16th, 2024.
He is survived by his wife Adair, daughter Zoë, father Matthew Sr, Mother-in-law Marilynn, brother-in-law Arran, and beloved pets Sushi, Fugu and Beez. He is preceded by his mother, Grace, and his baby Bonsai pup.
Matt was a devoted husband, father, son, son-in-law, brother-in-law and friend, and while we all knew that his “comedy was for free,” the joy he brought to everyone who knew him was priceless.
Matt had a creative heart that he showcased through his education at OCAD, his advertising career and his many ‘projects’ (woodworking, model building and mildly inappropriate photoshopping). However, his most important artistic achievement was helping to foster Zoë’s passion for the arts. The ultimate notebook and art supply enabler, he always had a stash of art materials at the ready.
Matt was a collector: from comic books, movie posters and fast things (his precious Camaro and motorcycle) to pets. Sometimes, even surprising Adair by adopting a dog while she was out of town.
He loved the Gulf Beaches of Florida, cheesesteaks, SyFy, and terrible movies, and he never truly got over the loss of the Garden’s Chilli Chicken.
More than anything, he loved his family, his friends and animals.
We hope you will join us in donating to the Farley Foundation or the Toronto Humane Society in his honour.
