Rajtek, Mary (nee Sajgalik)

Passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the Humber River Hospital in her89thyear. Reunited with her wonderful husband Frank of 63 years who passed away just 3 months earlier. She is survived by sisters Helen (Mokren) and Betty (Cascagnette), predeceased by sister Olga (Quail) and brother Milan (Sajgalik). Mary departs after a long life of being a loving Mom to Peter (Leona Tranter), Michael (Namee) and Theresa (Kevin) Widdifield as well as cherished Grandma of Tyler, Noah, Lee Marie, Nicole, Simon, Christian and Eve.

After being raised on a large farm near Alliston, ON, she became a Registered Nurse and worked at St Josephs Hospital in Toronto for most of her career. During her retirement years she enjoyed participating in church events, volunteered time for causes and spent time with family at the cottage. Mary will always be remembered for her dedication to family, friends and faith.

Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Road (North of Lawrence Ave. W.) Weston, on Thursday from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at All Saints Roman Catholic Church, 1415 Royal York Road, Etobicoke on Friday at 9:30 a.m. and will be livestreamed. Interment to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery. We understand due to COVID your attendance in person may not be possible. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation would be appreciated.
