MARY LOU CAUZ (nee Dynes)
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt, Mary Lou Cauz. She passed on October 22nd, nine days short of her 91st birthday. She was predeceased by her sister Patricia Savage since 2006.
She will be dearly missed by her children Carrie, Michele (Kevin), David (Marie) and Jason (Gina), her grandchildren, Tom, Emmy, Christina, Amy, Mikaela, Jonathan and Jack, her great grandchildren, Madison, Cody and Landen, and her many nieces and nephews in Georgetown, Tiny, London, Vancouver and Montreal, and her sisters-in-law, Beverly Polci and Marie Meren, who were her forever-sisters from the time they met in 1952.
Mary Lou was devoted to her family. She always said raising her four children as a stay-at-home mom were the happiest years of her life. Her children never doubted her unconditional love. She was also the most loving and caring grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. Her family brought her enormous pride and joy.
After her children were grown, Mary Lou had positions as Office Manager/Bookkeeper at Brampton Golf Club, Devil's Pulpit Golf (from its start in 1990) and Toronto Golf.
Mary Lou loved to travel and ventured to many parts of the world with family and close girlfriends. Her travels took her to Spain, Portugal, France, England and Ireland attending her son's wedding. She loved live theatre whether in Toronto or New York and she would never miss watching the Oscars. In her later years, she enjoyed watching classic movies, reading - especially autobiographies, jigsaw puzzles and playing cards.
Mary Lou was born in 1932 in Cobourg, Ontario where she grew up with her beloved sister Patricia. She resided in Brampton for over 50 years and lived her final days at Southbrook Retirement Residence. The family would like to extend our thanks and sincere appreciation to the staff and caregivers at Southbrook for their comfort and the wonderful care they provided this last year.
A Celebration of Life for Mary Lou will be held on Saturday, November 25th, 1-4 p.m. at Ward Funeral Home in Brampton.
