Mary L. IMBROLL (nee Naudi)
June 2, 1927 – December 3, 2014
Peacefully surrounded by family. Born in Sliema, Malta, she was the beloved wife of the late Michael Imbroll for 62 years. The eldest of 5 children she was a mini – mom to her younger siblings. Mary was a devoted mother, teacher, grandmother and great-grandmother, retiring to act as caregiver to her grandkids. Mary was the consummate teacher: a teacher of good behavior, reading, writing, math and a myriad other necessary learning. Her cakes, pizzas and lasagnas had no equal, especially as everything she made had the core ingredient of love. She began teaching in Malta, prior to marriage and continued again in Toronto, where she was a much loved teacher and during the last years of her career, a devoted Special Education teacher who was able to engage, interact with and support many special needs children. Though modest in nature, she was a warrior for her children. Although she worked tirelessly and relentlessly her entire life, she also had her lighter side: her love of dancing and decorating, as well as travelling to Europe. She will be sadly missed by all and forever loved. The family will receive friends at Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd.Weston on Monday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Mass will be held at All Saints Parish, 1415 Royal York Rd. on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, Mississauga. If desired, donations may be made to Princess Margaret Hospital.
