Mary Crawford Hall (née Armstrong) passed away at Tall Pines Long Term Care Centre in Brampton, Ontario (Canada) on December 17, 2016.
Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband Henry Denison Hall in 1991. She leaves behind her brothers John (Edith) and Alan (Ruth) and their families, as well as her four children Alison (Chris), Ian (Sandra), Alan (Luz Angela) and Andrea (Blake), and the grandchildren she adored, Thomas, Emily, Charlotte, Abigail and Arturo.
She and Henry grew up in Belfast, Northern Ireland. They both graduated from Queen’s University (Medicine) in Belfast, and came to Canada in the late1950s, settling in Brampton to raise their family.
Mary was on staff at Peel Memorial Hospital for many years, ran a private practice and worked at the Health Unit for the Region of Peel in various capacities. She was also involved in Travel Club and Scottish dancing for many years, and loved cooking and entertaining. She travelled often with family and friends and loved an adventure. Mary enjoyed many wonderful years at her cottage, swimming and sailing until it was no longer possible, and then some more. She made many friends throughout her life and cherished their company. She will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered.
We would like to extend a very special thanks to the compassionate staff at Tall Pines Long Term Care Centre.
Cremation has taken place. A service will be held at Christ Church Anglican, 4 Elizabeth St. North, Brampton, on Thursday January 5 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a gathering of friends and family at the same location.
