Mary Berenz

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Berenz on Friday September 6th, 2024 at the age of 96. Proud mother of Linda (Anthony), Larry (Fern) and Kenneth (Linda). Cherished grandmother of Stephen (Stephanie), Alex (Lily) and great grandmother of Markus and Alessia. She will be sadly missed by her many family and friends. Mary has been reunited with the love of her life Philip and parents John and Anna Lisafeld along with all of her siblings.

Mary enjoyed many things such as: riding her horse Topsy in her young years on the farm, spending time at her trailer on Rice Lake and traveling with her husband who was in a Pipes and Drums band. Mary used her baking skills to organize bake sales for St. Patrick’s Parish and Providence Villa, where her apple squares were a big hit.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy #7, Woodbridge on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for visitation. Followed by the funeral service at 11:30 a.m.

Interment to follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Toronto. As expressions of sympathy donations to The Diabetes Association or The Humane Society would be appreciated.
