Marko Samarzija

Marko Samarzija passed away peacefully surrounded with family by his side on Saturday November 6th at the age of 89. Marko is survived by his loving wife Mileva of 62 years; along with his two daughters Manuela (and her partner Steven Litt) and Jennifer (deceased son in law Antonio Colavita); and adoring grandchildren Jayde and Nicole; and many loving relatives in Canada and Croatia. Marko immigrated to Canada along with his family in 1969 and built a beautiful life. Apart from his lifetime work as a machinist and crown molding expert, he cherished spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed travelling, fishing, playing the accordion and teaching his grandchildren the game of chess. He loved to barbecue with a good glass of red wine in hand. Marko was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to everyone. He will be greatly missed and always loved.
