She was employed at the Davis Agency in Oakville for 20 years, followed by 19 years at the Frederick Harris Music Company until her retirement. She loved Oakville. She was also a member of the St Andrew Catholic Women’s League for 72 years. She supported many charities over the years and was an active volunteer at the Braille Workshop and Felix House in Toronto. She loved to travel, was an avid reader, and in her youth a writer, having penned her own “Teen 20” column in the Oakville Record Star newspaper. “Mame” loved all dogs, cats and birds and even had a dedicated “teddy bear den” in her home. A champion bowler, she participated in tournaments across Canada and the USA and also enjoyed cross country skiing and golf. The family would like to thank the staff at the Waterford Long Term Care Facility for the love and care they gave Marion for the past three years, and would also like to thank Mrs. Mary McHugh for her devoted and loyal friendship.
