BIRKBECK, Eva Marion (nee PIPER)

Marion passed away peacefully on March 30, 2018 in Oakville at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Peter (2002). She is survived by her sons Peter (Audrey) and David (Karen) and will be fondly remembered by grandchildren Elaine, Scott, Tracy and Lori. Dear sister to Mona (Wilbur), Dorothy (John) and Howard (Lois). She will be sadly missed by numerous relatives and friends. Marion was born in Montreal, Quebec on March 18, 1925 and grew up in Pointe-Claire. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed tennis, gardening, crosswords and reading. With her quiet grace and elegance, she had a friendly smile for everyone she met.

Friends and family will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville on Thursday April 5 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Ward Funeral Home on Friday, April 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Interment to take place at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery, Oakville, at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations made to The Alzheimer Society of Canada or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
