MANZON, Mario Aldo 1938-2024

It is with deep sadness that the Manzon Family announce the passing of the Late Mr. Mario Aldo Manzon, at the age of 86. Beloved husband to Pasqualina and father to Ivana (Michael), Nevio (Daniela) and Franco (Tanya). Adoring Nonno to Isabella, Max, Alessandro, Michael, and Noah. Predeceased by his brothers Emilio (Rosina) and Severino (Vilma) and survived by his brother Bepi (Teresa), sister Dina (Guido) and all his nieces and nephews here, and in Italy. Mario will be fondly remembered by his extended family and friends. 

Mario was born in the small town of Bannia, Italy and made his way to Canada at a young age. A carpenter by trade, and an overall great handyman, Mario was often found tending to home projects and house repairs for his friends and family. He was a lifelong sports fan mostly of Serie A calcio, the Udinese soccer club, the Leafs and the Blue Jays, cheering his teams on when he could. He loved caring for his vegetable garden and visiting with his family. He most enjoyed spending time with Bepi, Rosina and countless others who dropped by. In between gardening and visits, he visited the Famee Friulane, playing cards alongside some of his friends. 

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Woodbridge” Chapel (4671 Highway #7, Vaughan) from 2:00- 4:00p.m. and from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. A Funeral Mass will be held St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church (100 Bainbridge Ave, Woodbridge) on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. Private Entombment to follow. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
