Mario passed away in his home on May 31st surrounded by the love of his wife Carmela of 49 years and three children, Chiara, Vincent and Michael. Mario was born on March 3, 1946 in San Nicola Da Crissa, a beautiful town in Calabria Italy, a place that never left his heart and where he last visited in 2015. He immigrated to Toronto in 1964 to join his entire family where he started his profession as a master carpenter. Mario never retired and leaves behind a successful custom home business, one that joined passion and profession, and where he shared his skill for craftsmanship, quality and architecture. He is predeceased by his parents Vincenzo and Chiara who gave him the tools for life and his eldest brother Michele, the foundation for all his siblings. He will be sadly missed as husband, father, Nonno to his beautiful grandchildren Nicholas Michael Galloro and Mary Galloro - Lee who were the joys of his life, five brothers, one sister, brother and sister in laws, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and paesani, all of whom were both family and friends. Visitation will be held at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Highway #7, just west of Pine Valley Dr, Woodbridge, on Thursday June 2nd, 6 to 9pm, and Friday June 3rd, 2 to 4pm, and 6 to 9pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, 11873 The Gore Rd, Brampton, Saturday June 4th at 9:30 am, followed by entombment at Westminster Cemetery, 5830 Bathurst St, north of Finch, Toronto.
