Di Monte, Mario

Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Thursday September 9, 2021 at the age of 87. Devoted husband of Maria of 63 wonderful years. Proud father of Anna (Moris), Daniel (Bruna) and Mark (Louise). Cherished Nonno of Stefano (Mitchell), Andrew (Nora), Nicole (Joe), Laura (Ben), Matthew (Natalie) and Michael. Loving Bisnonno of Ava and Adriana. He will be fondly remembered by his sibings Filomena, Sam (Maria Pia) and Tony (Adelia) and his many family and friends. Mario has been reunited with his parents Francesco and Maria, sister Anna and his brother in laws Raffaele and Gabriele.
Mario was born in Caramanico Terme Abruzzo Italy to parents Francesco and Maria. Mario immigrated to Canada at the age of 16 to join his older brother Sam. In 1954 the two brothers started Di Monte Brothers Concrete and Drain Inc. At 23 he met his beautiful wife Maria and married a year later. Mario worked extremely hard to build a beautiful life for his family.
Friends and family will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge on Sunday September 13, 2021 from 2-5, 6-9 p.m. A mass will be held on Monday September 13, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Jane Frances Roman Catholic Church 2747 Jane St., Toronto. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
