Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Brampton Civic Hospital with her family at her side. Devoted wife of Wendell Brown of 53 years. Beloved mother of Ken (Michelle), Kevin (Nancy), Kelly Handt (Ron) and Kim Lunardo (Italo). Grandmother of Amanda, Jennifer (James), Lauren, Matthew, Andrew, Leah, Andrea and Talia. Great-grandmother of Lincoln and Lucillia. Will be deeply missed by her sister Shirley Kingshott (Bill). She will be missed by the members of the Brampton Curling Club, Brampton Rotary Club and her sewing pals. A heartfelt thank you to the Doctors and Nurses of the I.C.Unit. Marilyn was an energetic, outgoing woman, who loved entertaining and welcoming people into her home. She was a completely selfless, caring and giving person; even in her last act in life, as she donated organs to give life to others. Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home “Brampton Chapel”, 52 Main Street South (Hwy 10), Brampton on Sunday, January 8, 2012 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace United Church, 156 Main Street N, Brampton. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
