Passed away unexpectedly on December 13, 2016 at the age of 84 in Weston, ON.
Marie is predeceased by her mother and father, Elizabeth and Leo Shea, sisters Laura Etchegary, Leonie Thompson, twin brother, Sylvester, and brother Cecil; brothers-in-law, Mike Etchegary, Jack Lundrigan and Arthur Thompson. Marie is survived by her sister Clara Lundrigan of St. Lawrence, NL, and sister-in-law Mary Shea of North York, ON.
Also grieving her loss are many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews and great great nieces and great great nephews from Ontario, Newfoundland and Arizona. She was affectionately known as "Newf" to her large circle of friends. Marie also loved her bingo and will be missed by her bingo family. She was a devout Toronto Maple Leaf fan and an avid Blue Jay fan.
Marie left NL in her late twenties and made a life for herself in the Weston area working in the Food Service industry for many years and helping loads of people along the way. She made many lifelong friends during those years and loved to play darts, bowl and party with the best of them. She was also known to “step out” on the dance floor with her “Newfie” step dance moves. She will be missed by all.
A celebration of Marie's life will be held at Central King Seniors Residence, 15 King Street, Weston, ON, from noon to 3 pm. on Saturday, January 28, 2017.
Interment of Cremated Remains will take place in the summer of 2017 in Newfoundland.
