Marie Jane McDonald

July 28th, 1964 to November 19th, 2020

Marie passed away peacefully on November 19th, 2020. Marie was the loving daughter of the late William and Margaret McDonald (nee Stuckless), sister to Paul and Bob McDonald, cousin to Sandra, Sharon and Owen Penney, beloved niece to Maryanne Penney, Godmother of Brandon Hunt, close friends of Romaine Hunt, Laura Lazaros, Charmaine Klawiter, Linda Rakochevich (the 5 musketeers), Janice Kite. Marie also leaves behind many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Marie had a warm-spirited nature and always spoke her mind. She was known to look out for those that could not protect themselves and was often considered a “guardian angel” to many she was close to.

She was generous, fun-loving and had a great sense of humour. When chatting with her, you could always look forward to a witty response - “Marie style”. If Marie found herself in a sticky situation, she could rely on her charisma, blonde hair and blue eyes to get out of it.

Marie was a die-hard fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Mickey Mouse and Bon Jovi. She never missed a Leafs game on TV and was by far one of the loudest fans in the stands. You could hear her cheering from the other side of the rink!

Marie was proud of her Newfoundland roots and loved spending time there with her family and many friends.

We are so grateful that she is no longer suffering. Her battle is finally over and she is now in the loving hands of God. She will be missed so much by all of us.
