Maria “Teresa” Malatesta

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Teresa who passed away on Tuesday April 12, 2022 with her family by her side. Caring wife of the late Paolo, proud mother of Tony and Carmine, cherished Nonna of Paul (Amanda) and Nicole (Jacob), and loving Great-Nonna of Ana, Genevieve and Sophie. She will be sadly missed by her brother Carmine and her many family and friends. Teresa was a loving and caring wife and daughter who looked after her late husband Paolo, and parents Vincenzo and Addolorata.

Fondly remembered for her love of her family, nothing would bring more joy than having her family over enjoying her amazing cooking. Teresa enjoyed being in the garden and would often be found working amongst the beautiful flowers in her flower beds. She was a devout Catholic who spent many years working with the Catholic Woman’s League.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge (just west of Pine Valley Dr.) on Friday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday April 16th, 2022 at 9 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church 8500 Islington Ave., Woodbridge (just south of Langstaff Rd.). Entombment to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
