Maria Ada Marchese in-Parisi
Born in Catania, Sicily on the 21st of March 1939 to her loving parents: Maria Teresa Vitale and Raimondo Marchese and caring big brother Ignazio.
Raised in Catania, surrounded by family and friends, Ada had a beautiful childhood and enjoyed every aspect of her upbringing. From an early age she learned to sew and often made her own clothing and dresses. Ada loved going to the beach with her friends, dancing, eating out at restaurants and shopping. She always paid attention to detail with her hair, nails and make-up always done to perfection. An elegant woman who loved wearing heels and who then passed all that attention onto her family.
Ada met and married the love of her life, Enzo, raising their four children in a loving home. A devoted wife and mother who took great pride in her family whom she loved dearly. She always dedicated herself to family and friends and was always there when they were in need. She loved to do things like: cooking for family and friends, camping, going to casinos, eating out at restaurants, shopping and visiting with friends.
Ada loved every aspect of her life in Canada alongside her husband, family and friends. She had a happy and humble life here in Canada, although her heart was always back home in Sicily. Ada was proud of her heritage and valued Sicilian customs. She maintained Sicilian values and traditions with her children and grandchildren. She continued to travel back and forth to Sicily into her late 70’s and loved being back home.
Sadly Ada passed away the evening of March 5th, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Finally reuniting with the love of her life Enzo.
