It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Maria. She passed away peacefully in her sleep with her loving husband by her bedside on Tuesday April 28, 2020 at the age of 81. She is lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend Silvano of 57 wonderful years. The proud mother of Robert (Dina) and Sonja (Tony) and cherished Oma of Amanda, Mariah, Julian and Marcus. Maria will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
Christmas will never be the same without her. As an expert crafts person, she lovingly made numerous handmade Christmas decorations, delicious Christmas cookies and diligently wrapped the plentiful Christmas gifts she so thoughtfully picked out.
Maria was an exceptionally talented seamstress and designer. Together with her friend Doris, she established an alteration and dress-making business, entitled European Design, which she successfully ran for over 30 years. She designed and created beautiful outfits for her daughters, including their wedding dresses which she spent countless hours, taking the time to perfect. She also created a striking baptismal gown which was worn by all her grandchildren.

She was an extremely loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She will be fondly remembered for her infectious positivity, loving spirit and warm heart. She was the kindest person we knew and our lives were much improved for having her in it.
