Maria Iolanda Spizzirri (1924-2018)

Maria Iolanda Spizzirri passed away peacefully at the age of 93 at St. Joseph’s Hospital on January 17th surrounded by her family. Her affection, lovingness, and dedication to her family will always be remembered and memories of her will be cherished forever. She has a very special place in our hearts and we will always remember her beautiful smile, sweet laugh, and long hugs.

She is predeceased by her loving husband Pietro Spizzirri, and daughters Teresa (Enzo) and Nina (Armidoro). She will be fondly remembered and missed by her daughters Mary (Anthony) and Linda (Phil), and her many grandchildren who she never failed to love and care for: Rosemary (Joe), Carol (Angelo), Joe (Renee), Robert, Marco (Daniela), Christina (Greg), Melissa (Al), Vanessa, Amanda, and Julia. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren Massimo, Alessia, Christian, Domenico, Sofia, Michela, Ariana, Angelina, Alessandro, and Claudio.

She will be dearly missed by many and she has touched all of our hearts in a special way, which will never be forgotten. May she rest in peace with her loved ones and continue to watch over us from above.

Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy #7, (west of Pine Valley Drive) , Woodbridge on Tuesday 2-4, 5-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter's Church, 100 Bainbridge Avenue, Woodbridge on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
