Maria Garcia

Passed away in Brampton, Ontario on Thursday June 25, 2020.
Maria was predeceased by her cherished husband, Manuel Leonildo Garcia (November 3, 2012) and they were married for 41 years. Maria was also predeceased by her infant daughter Patricia who passed away in Sao Miguel, Azores, and her son Jeffrey who passed away, in his first year, in Toronto, Ontario. Maria and Manuel immigrated to Canada from Sao Miguel, Azores in 1974 with their loving daughter Sandra Garcia who will miss her mother greatly. Maria will be missed by her devoted son in law Matthew Burns and her two grandchildren Jeffrey and Alexander who she cherished deeply. Maria was a devoted Catholic. Maria was an amazing cook and shared her incredible skill with her daughter, Sandra. She was also an incredible lover of animals, especially birds. She will be profoundly missed by all her family and friends.


In accordance with the directives provided from the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, funeral services may be held within the funeral home with 30 % capacity of visitations rooms and the onsite chapel. Funeral Services may also be held at a place of worship with the same 30% capacity mandate. Wearing of masks, or face coverings, by everyone is mandatory as per the directives of the Bereavement Authority. This includes ALL staff and attendees. Masks will be provided to those guests who may not have their own.
