Maria Favaro

Maria Favaro (née Dragan) passed away suddenly yet peacefully, just 2 months shy of her 91st birthday.

Born in 1930 in Umago, in the Istrian peninsula, she immigrated from Italy to Canada with her young family in 1958, settling in Weston, Ontario. Predeceased by her beloved Orfeo, husband of 60 years, she is survived by her children, Marina and Paul (Julia), and cherished grandchildren, Jeremy and Jessica.

Well-known in her community for her love of children, the domestic arts and gardening, she maintained her independence and love of life to the very end. Maria -Mamma and Nonna - will be sorely missed and remembered by many for her happy and loving spirit.

Respecting the current situation and pandemic restrictions, the funeral service and interment will be private and held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard de Clairvaux Catholic Church This ceremony will be streamed. A private interment will take place at Beechwood Cemetery.
