Maria D'Erasmo

On April 24, 2024 Maria passed away peacefully at MacKenzie Health in her 96th year. Beloved and devoted wife to the late Paolo D’Erasmo. Adored by her sons John (Lucy) and Carlo (Antonella). Cherished by her grandchildren Maria (Michael), Daniel, Alaina, and Matthew and her great grandchildren Bria and Gabriel.

Maria will also be missed by her  brother in law and sister in law Gino and Gina Simone. Sister in laws Rosetta D’Erasmo, Gianna Terzulli, and Agnese Antonelli. As well as many nieces, nephews, and friends in Canada, The US and Italy. 

Maria will be fondly remembered as a women of very strong Catholic faith and as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who had unwavering devotion and unconditional love for her cherished family. 

Maria had a wonderful sense of humour, and thoroughly enjoyed telling stories of her childhood growing  up with her sisters and cousins in Bari, Italy. She was a talented cook and baker and immensely enjoyed the company of family and friends.

In this time of loss, we also celebrate the beautiful moments and memories Maria shared with all of us. Her strong faith, care, values, and wisdom have been and will always be the foundation of her family's life. We thank Maria for all the love she gave us. She will forever be cherished and remembered in the hearts of all who loved her.

All are welcome to gather at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge on Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. & 6:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Immaculate Conception Church on Monday, April 29, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Westminster Cemetery.
