Maria Demelo

Maria José Demelo (née Maria José Alexandre de Medeiros) passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 21 at Toronto General Hospital at the age of 77. She passed away surrounded by her loving children.

Maria was the beloved wife of the late Eduardo Raposo Demelo. She was the sister of of the late Maria dos Anjos Viana and Virginia do Conceição Viana and brother Manuel de Medeiros. Cherished mother of Tony (Ana), Victor and Altino. Devoted avó (grandmother) of Steve (Michelle), Kevin (Chelsea) and bisavó (great grandmother) to Oliver. Maria José will be dearly missed by her many nephews, nieces, and friends.

Visitation to be held at the Ward Funeral Home in Brampton on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 5-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 24 at 9:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Entombment to follow at Assumption Cemetery in Brampton.
