Maria Concetta Sferlazza

Peacefully, passed into the arms of our loving God, our Father, on Saturday, June 2, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Luca (2013). Loving and devoted mother of Charles (the late Jeanne), Angie, Leny (Victoria) and nonna of Kirsten, Jennifer, Analisa, Rebecca and Alessandra.

Maria was a strong and loving mother, devoted to her late husband, children and grandchildren. Her wisdom, kindness, generosity, warm smile and tremendous presence will be sorely missed, but she will live on in their hearts forever. Maria’s culinary skills were well known, especially her famous pastries and cookies-second to none and enjoyed by all. The family will continue on with her legacy.

Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy 7 (west of Pine Valley Dr.), Woodbridge, 905-851-9100 on Tuesday from 6 - 9p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church (8500 Islington Avenue) on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 11a.m. Entombment to follow at Assumption Cemetery.
