Maria Concetta Pistilli nee: Iacampo
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dearest Maria Concetta Pistilli, affectionately referred to as Concetta. Concetta lived a rich and faithful life, she passed away on January 10, 2023, at the age of 92. Born to Marco & Filomena Iacampo, in Vinchiaturo, Campobasso, Italy, on December 6, 1930.
Concetta was a loving woman with an unshakable devotion to her husband Carmine Pistilli for 60 years. She cherished her family, and unconditionally loved her children Tony (Lucy) and Mary (late Lou). She was blessed with two grandchildren Sara & Lia. Concetta was predeceased by her siblings & will be lovingly remembered by her nieces, nephews & extended family. Her legacy lives on in each and every one of them.
Concetta’s greatest passion was dedicating herself to her family, a homemaker and nurturing mother. Her beautiful garden was second to none, adorned with not only the most beautiful flowers but fruit trees. She grew vegetable and tomato plants and made tomato sauce for the family, harvested pears, apricots, plums & cherries to make homemade jams for family and friends. Family dinners were especially important to her, whether it was her famous cavatelli, roast chicken & potatoes or homemade pizza, her cooking brought her family together. She showed her love through food.
Our grief over losing her is infinite, and our loving memory of her will always remain in our hearts.
Family and friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home (4671 Hwy 7, Woodbridge) on Friday, January 13, 2022 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church (100 Bainbridge Ave, Woodbridge) Saturday, January 14, 2022, at 9:30 a.m., with entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
